Burnley FC Women lost in the league for the first time this season as they travelled to top-of-the-table side Nottingham Forest, with the game ending 3-0 to the hosts.
The Reds took the lead on 17 minutes through forward Sophie Domingo and added a second just after the break as the same scorer struck again.
Substitute Mai Moncaster added a third with six minutes to go as Forest condemned the Claret Women to their first league defeat in over a calendar year.
Jay Bradford made two changes to the side that won 4-1 against Derby County two weeks ago – 19th March – as Sarah Greenhalgh came in from the start in place of Laura Elford and Lauren Bracewell – injured in the warm-up was replaced by Lucy Farrell.
Emma Taylor also returned to the bench after missing the game against the Ewe Rams with injury.

First Half
Forest started the quicker of the two sides, with forward Charlotte Greengrass shooting over from distance and Georgia Marshall being forced into action, making a superb tackle to deny Domingo as she broke through.
And the hosts were soon in front, as Greengrass found Domingo in space in the area, and the Reds striker hammered past Farrell, leaving the Burnley ‘keeper with no chance.
The home side continued to attack the Claret Women’s goal, with Domingo at the forefront once more, cutting back to Yasmin Mosby, who in turn shot straight at Farrell and she held well.
Arryana Daniels should’ve added Forest’s second, when a corner found its way to her and unmarked at the back post, she could only prod wide of the almost open goal.
The Clarets first clear-cut chance came just before the break, as Lizzie Hamer drove down the wing and crossed to Greenhalgh at the back post, who took the ball down well but could only fire over off balance.

Second Half
The league-leaders began the second half on top, and added another goal on 52 minutes, as Domingo was found with a deflected cross and she slotted home past Farrell to complete her brace.
Burnley were seeing more of the ball as they looked to work a way back into the tie, as Hamer saw a shot blocked from just inside the area, before a crazy goal line scramble resulted in Greenhalgh seeing a shot saved and multiple blocks before Lucia Molinari fired over.
Evie Priestley then did well to turn her marker as the ball was fizzed into her on 75 minutes, before she shot towards goal and tested Emily Batty who did well to hold the effort.
Despite Bradford’s side pushing for the goal that would get them back into the game, it was Forest who would strike once more, as substitute Moncaster lobbed the ball into the back of the net over Farrell to secure the three points for the hosts.
