FAN ENGAGEMENT AND FAN ADVISORY BOARD
FAN ADVISORY BOARD
Fan Advisory Board (FAB)
At the commencement of the 2023/24 season, Burnley FC launched the Fan Advisory Board (FAB) which is designed to support the leagues Fan Engagement Standard (FES).
The FES is a league-wide measured standard designed to reinforce clubs’ commitments to ensuring long-term meaningful engagement with supporters. The FES introduced a framework which the club will follow when designing and implementing their own individual approaches to fan engagement.
The purpose of FAB is to have a consultative panel of supporters who will work alongside the club with the primary purpose of engaging in conversations, exchanging information or ideas, and securing feedback from the fan’s perspective.
The Club undertakes a thorough process to revise the membership of the Fan Advisory Board, ensuring it reflects the voice of Clarets supporters. When the Board was first formed in February 2023, 22 dedicated supporters were appointed following careful consideration by senior Club members and Chairman Alan Pace. The Board has since grown to 26 members, helping to ensure fans’ views continue to play a key role in shaping the Club’s future.
The Fan Advisory Board currently consists of 23 members, all members represent under 18s, 18-24s, 25-34s, 35-44s, 45 -54s, 55-64s & 65-75s. Amongst the members, some of the members also represent gender, disability, ethnicity, religion or belief and sexual orientation.

How the FAB works.
The FAB is an independent body which will consult with the Club’s hierarchy, including members of the Club’s Board with the aim of discussing and advising on key decisions that relate to fan experience at the club.
The Fan Advisory Board would be expected to discuss a range of topics during the course of a season such as the Club’s strategic vision and objectives, short, medium and long-term business plans and stadium issues and plans. On pitch matters will not be discussed in this board meeting however members will receive regular updates from the playing side.
The FAB will meet a minimum of four times a year, meetings will be arranged by the Club and will either be agenda based (where the agenda is driven and created by fan representatives and the club) or the club will invite the FAB to consult on specific projects.
Since the launch of the FAB in February 2023, three on-boarding meetings took place through the months of February to June. With the first official Premier League FAB Meeting took place on September 12th 2023.
Information on the Fan Advisory Board is included in a fan engagement plan which will be outlined at the start each season. This plan details the aims and objectives of the Club’s formal fan engagement network. Which also introduces the areas and initiatives that the Club will consult its fans on over the course of the season.

Supporters Groups, Trusts & Associations
The list below contains many organised supporter groupings.
Some are social clubs where like-minded fans can meet and forge friendships, some offer organised travel services to away games, some meet with club officials regularly to communicate their members feedback and some are have representation across the league and partner organisations.
