Burnley Women defend their Lancashire FA Women’s Senior Cup title on Wednesday evening, taking on West Didsbury & Chorlton at the County Ground in Leyland.
Both teams enjoyed comprehensive victories at the semi-final stage, with the Clarets beating AFC Fylde 6-0.
A Brenna McPartlan brace and goals from Amaya, Dom Cooper, Laura Elford and Evie Priestley made it a January afternoon to remember despite the difficult weather conditions.
West Didsbury and Chorlton, who operate in the fifth tier of English football, saw off Blackpool FC Women and Girls 4-0 to book their final spot.
Burnley were the inaugural winners of the competition last season, beating Darwen FC 9-0 in an entertaining final.
The Clarets come into the game on the back of Sunday’s momentous 3-0 victory over Liverpool Feds at Turf Moor.
McPartlan was on target again as she notched her 10th goal of the season in all competitions, before an own goal and a further strike from Rhema Lord-Mears secured all three points.
West Didsbury and Chorlton, who are lead by manager Ieuan Evans, lost 1-0 at home to Cheadle Town Stingers in their last outing on Sunday.
Kick-off at the Lancashire FA’s headquarters (PR25 2LF) is 7:30pm and tickets are available on the gate. Adults can gain entry for £6, with concessions priced at £3.
