Burnley FC Women return to the Lancashire FA County Ground on Sunday (August 28) for a first home game of the 2022/23 campaign against Stoke City Women, and the Club are pleased to confirm that entry for all fans will be free.
The Claret women got their season underway in the Northern Premier Division of the FA Women’s National League last weekend with the most dramatic of victories away at Derby County Women, winning 3-2.
Trailing 1-0 at the interval, striker Ellie May struck a leveller on debut against her former Club. Falling behind again, Evie Priestley then grabbed a second equaliser of the afternoon 76 minutes in.
And having twice come from behind, defender Dom Cooper raced forward to poke home the winner in the 97th minute against a Derby side which last term finished 2nd.
Ella Kinzett appeared as a Trialist against the Ewe Rams and has since officially joined the Club on loan from Women’s Super League outfit Manchester United Women alongside Emma Taylor & Alyssa Aherne.

The trio helped United’s U21 side to a league & cup double last season, and will now spend the 2022/23 campaign with the Claret Women.
Spaniard Amaya Coleman-Evans also officially became a Claret yesterday, the eleventh addition of the summer to Burnley's squad.
The 18-year-old winger - who played for Real Oviedo Women before moving to England - joins having departed East Lancashire neighbours Blackburn Rovers Women earlier this summer.
She, along with Taylor and Aherne, is in contention to make a debut for the Club against Stoke, who began the campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory away at Loughborough Lightning Women last time out.

Rosie Axten was the first summer signing in the Potteries this summer, and netted on her debut alongside Beth Roberts & Carra Jones. The latter, 20, was also a summer recruit for Warren Holmes’ side from Blackburn.
Burnley did the double over Stoke last season on the way to a 4th place finish, winning 2-0 away from home before sealing a further three points with a 3-1 victory at the County Ground back in March.
And now in a new era under Jonathan Morgan, who this weekend will take charge of his own first game in charge, we hope to see as many of you as possible at the County Ground in Leyland.
If you are unable to join us however, the game - which gets underway at 14:00 - will be streamed live over on TikTok!
