Jay Rodriguez had plenty of praise for his side after running out 5-1 winners at the DW Stadium, with four different scorers in the impressive display.
Rodriguez opened the scoring after 17 minutes, before a Josh Brownhill brace and strikes from Nathan Tella and Samuel Bastien sealed all three points in Wigan.
And after the astounding victory, Rodriguez spoke to Clarets+ about his goal, the team performance and amazing backing from the Burnley supporters.
Rodriguez on the result:
"It was a fantastic win, i think it has been coming to be honest. It was a big performance from everyone today.
"I'm really pleased for everyone, the team, the staff and the fans too, who were brilliant again today."
Rodriguez on his goal:
"He (Vitinho) was outstanding all game today, he did well to get past his man and then get the ball into the area.
"It's something we have been working on and it was good to see it come off today, a great performance all round."
Rodriguez on the team gelling together:
"I think it's credit to everyone, the players, the staff, we welcome everyone here.
"We're still working and learning together, but it's been good so far and hopefully we can carry it into the next few weeks with us."
Rodriguez on the support in Wigan:
"It's a great feeling, that support we have is unbelievable. The lads feel it and it really helped us today.
"It's important, we have that connection and we're going to need each other this season and hope they enjoy their bank holiday weekend!"
Rodriguez on the upcoming week:
"Millwall will give us a different challenge, we know it will be tough.
"We just have to recover right and get ready for that, before then going to West Brom, a place i know very well and a great stadium to play at.
"So, we're looking forward to another busy week."
