Burnley Women’s 2025/26 Northern Premier Division of the Women’s National League opponents have been confirmed, with the FA announcing its tier allocations for the women’s football pyramid.
The Clarets will face Loughborough Lightning and Middlesbrough following their respective promotions from Division One Midlands and Division One North.
Loughborough topped their standings by eight points and went the whole season unbeaten, winning 19 of their 22 matches.
Having finished 2nd in 2023/24 Middlesbrough went one better last time out, pipping Cheadle Town Stingers to the title on goal difference.
Following Blackburn Rovers’ decision to withdraw from WSL2 (formerly known as the Women’s Championship), Sheffield United have been given a reprieve from relegation and remain in the second tier.
Subsequently, Halifax keep their place in the Northern Premier Division.
