Burnley Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of Roman Egan-Riley from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 19-year-old, who is the younger brother of former Claret CJ, has signed a contract that runs until the end of the current season and will link up with Andy Farrell’s U21s squad.
“I’m excited to be here because it’s a big club,” he said.
“I think this is a great opportunity for me to come and showcase what I can do, and everybody around the building has been really nice with me.
“I’ve not played as much football as I would have liked over recent years, so I’m looking forward to testing myself against some of the best players in the country and I can’t wait to get started.”

Born and raised in Manchester, Roman joined Manchester City at five years old and progressed through the youth system there before agreeing scholarship terms with Spurs at 16.
The centre-back later signed his first professional contract with the North Londoners in January 2024.
Egan-Riley has spent time on trial in Lancashire in recent weeks, featuring in the Premier League 2 match against Arsenal last month.
He could make his formal debut in this afternoon's Lancashire FA Senior Cup tie against Wigan Athletic.
Academy Manager Chris Casper added: “Roman has earned a contract with us after impressing on trial.
“His physical profile is fantastic for a centre-back, and with continued hard work on and off the pitch we’re confident that he can fulfil his potential here in Lancashire.”
