Burnley’s U21 side will aim to inflict a ‘Halloween horror show’ on visitors Hull City at the County Ground in Leyland tomorrow afternoon – 31st October - when the pair meet in Professional Development League action (2pm KO).
The Clarets were twice in action last week, first losing out 3-2 to table toppers in the Northern Section of the PDL, Sheffield United, before taking a point away against Stoke City from a 1-1 draw which came in the Premier League Cup group stage.
Irish forward Dara Costelloe continued his fine scoring form, on target in both of those games including a goal from the penalty spot in the Potteries last Thursday night.
Now, with focus switching back to the league, Burnley - still sat in 2nd - host Hull in search of a first win in three.

The Clarets will be without Joe McGlynn & Jacson Coppack who completed loan moves to Hyde United and Padiham respectively last week, while full back Finn Armstrong also extended his stay with FC United of Manchester until the end of this calendar year.
Monday’s opponents Hull are managed by ex-Bradford City joint-manager Conor Sellars, and are in 4th at the time of writing, four points worse off than Burnley.
Sellars’ side lost out 3-1 at home to 3rd-placed Wigan Athletic last time out. The Tigers were 2-0 and a man down come the break following midfielder Harry Lovick’s early sending off, and although Xavier Simons pulled one back midway through the second 45, visitors Wigan made sure of all three points with a late goal.

Entry is free at the Lancashire FA’s headquarters on Monday afternoon as Burnley and Hull face off at U23/U21 level for the first time in close to three years.
Back in December 2019, the Clarets claimed a 1-0 victory in East Yorkshire thanks to a last-gasp 93rd minute winner from Christian N’Guessan.
