Jordan Beyer was awarded Man of the Match in yesterday's win over Reading. The September signing has become a strong presence at the back and is relishing his time at Turf Moor in front of the Clarets fans.
After the final whistle, the defender spoke post-match about our recent run of home games and the closing minutes winner to secure the three points.
Beyer on the result:
“It feels great to be honest. It was such a nice feeling at the end to get the winning goal, in one of the last minutes. I think we worked hard for it, it wasn’t easy for us because it was a tough opponent, they defend very well. We had to be patient, we knew that from the beginning, and I think we stayed that.
“Conceded a pretty sloppy goal to be honest, shouldn’t have done that, but at the end no-one really cares, we won the game and we’re just so happy about it. I think we are a few games now unbeaten, and we try to continue that.”
Beyer on the comeback:
“It’s very important because we shouldn’t get nervous and try to get away from our game and do long balls or other stuff.
"We stayed with our game plan, and it worked at the end we played our thing, played our way, how we want to play, kept doing it, trying, and trying, and at the end it worked out and we’re very happy about this.
“There’s no better feeling than to win at home in the last minute and celebrate with the fans, it’s just an amazing feeling and we are all so happy about it.”

Beyer on his partnership with Harwood-Bellis:
“I’ve said it a few times already, he’s such a great player, it’s unbelievable that he’s only 20 years old.
"I can’t believe it myself, when I came here saw the first game, I thought he must be like 25/26, the way he’s playing. I think his star’s really shining this season, and if he continues like that there are no limits for him, for where his career can go and it’s great playing next to him, I think we work good with each other.
"Of course, we can still improve things but we’re still early in the season, we’re both very young and I think it works out pretty well at the moment.”
Beyer on Rotherham:
“First of all, we’re very happy to play four games at home. It’s so great to play now a few games at home here after we had two away games and I, just like the rest of the team and everybody, we just enjoy so much playing at Turf Moor this season.
"I think we have a good record here and we just try to continue like this and with the fans and supporters behind us, I think there’s no limits for us.”
