It’s the academy who continue on centre stage come Tuesday as Tony Philliskirk’s youth team have an East Lancashire derby to contend with in the Quarter-finals of the LFA Professional Youth Cup.

Build-up to the weekend’s game at Bramall Lane begins for the men’s team on Friday afternoon when both Vincent Kompany and a player will address the media at the Burnley Training Centre.

Two Clarets teams will be hoping to mark Bonfire Night with a bang, and it’s the youth team who are first up as they round off their group stage in the U18 Professional Development League Cup with a trip across Lancashire to Preston.
Kicking off at 10.30am, we will bring you the post-match result and goalscorers from that game over on Twitter via @ClaretsAcademy. And come 12.30pm, attention then moves over the Pennines to Yorkshire and the men’s team’s meeting with Sheffield United.

Liverpool Feds Women v Burnley FC Women | Northern Premier Division of the FA Women’s National League | 2pm (GMT)
With their second consecutive trip to the Jericho Lane Sports Hub, it’s the Claret Women who round off the week as they take on Liverpool Feds.
Having just beaten the same opponents at the same ground in the FA Women’s National League Cup, this meeting – which gets underway at 2pm – now comes back in league action.
