Burnley’s U21 side are in action at Turf Moor on Monday afternoon – 14th November – when Barnsley are the visitors in Professional Development League action (2pm KO).
Supporters are welcome in the Bob Lord Stand with unreserved seating and Season Ticket holders are able to watch for free by producing their Team Card at the gates.
Non-Season Ticket holders can purchase a ticket from the Turf Moor ticket office (open from 9am) on the day of the game, priced at £4 for adults & £2 for over 65’s and under 18’s.
Last Tuesday, history was made by youngster Joe Bauress who made his bow for Vincent Kompany’s side against Crawley Town in the Carabao Cup. Still only 16, the midfielder became the Club’s third-youngest player since the Second World War, and the youngest this century.

Marcel Lewis also made his senior debut for the Clarets in that cup tie, while Dara Costelloe was named in the starting lineup. Owen Dodgson was an unused substitute.
All of those named above, and more, are in contention to feature against the Tykes for the U21s on Monday, who go in search of a first league win in five.
Last time out, with a youthful squad including seven of the U18s, Burnley lost out 4-1 away against Peterborough United with Mike Mellon the scorer of a consolation goal.
The Clarets sit 4th in the Northern Section of the PDL at the time of writing, two points off Hull City who occupy 2nd and a Play-Off spot with leaders Sheffield United seven points ahead of the Tigers.

Opponents Barnsley, headed up by ex-Tykes academy player Tom Harban, sit four places and four points lower in 8th with 12 points, playing two games less to date than Burnley.
Monday’s game itself is a re-arranged one having been postponed earlier in the season due to the passing of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Barnsley had picked up just one win until November came around, but they have now recorded back-to-back victories ahead of their trip to Turf Moor.
First beating table toppers Sheffield United 3-0 on home soil on a day which saw defender Jasper Moon sent off late on for a second bookable offence, Harban’s side last Monday (7th November) ran out 6-1 winners on the road at Wigan Athletic.
Trailing 1-0 early on, Barnsley turned things around and at 2-1 up saw Latics midfielder Abdi Sharif shown a straight red card on 44 minutes. Making it 3-1 before half time, the visitors would go on to score three more in the second half to pick up a comprehensive three points.
When the Clarets and Tykes face off at Turf Moor, it’ll represent a first meeting between the two Clubs at U23/U21 level since the 2019/20 campaign, which was curtailed due to the start of the COVID Pandemic.

Before the curtailment however, the two sides played out both of their games against one another, with each taking three points on home soil.
October 2019 saw Burnley run out 2-1 winners when Lewis Richardson struck twice in the space of 12 second half minutes, while in the most recent meeting, Barnsley were 4-1 victors in South Yorkshire in January 2020 following the early dismissal of Clarets defender Joel Senior.
This time around, if you can’t make it to Turf Moor, we will be covering the game in full across our social media channels including on Twitter via @ClaretsAcademy. A report will also be published on burnleyfc.com post-match.
