After winning the Professional Development League North section in impressive fashion, Burnley U18s will host Watford in the semi-finals of the national play-offs.

The Hornets will travel to Turf Moor for a 7pm kick-off on Friday 9th May, and Burnley season ticket holders can watch the game for free!

Tony Philliskirk’s side have excelled at both ends of the pitch this season, leading the way for goals with 88 from their 31 league outings.

Equally as impressive is the team’s defensive record, with the young Clarets conceding just 26 goals.

That tally is 19 better than the nearest challengers, with the team keeping 15 clean sheets too.

Season ticket holders are required to claim their free ticket in advance of match day.

Non season ticket holders are priced at £5 for adults and £2 for concessions.

For many of the players involved, this will be their first time playing at Turf Moor.

As such, supporters are encouraged to get behind the team where possible and make it an occasion to remember.

Watford were the opponents when secured the North section title in April, and our scholars produced an emphatic display to win 5-1 down at London Colney that day.

After Zach Johnson opened the scoring in the first minute, a fine Brandon Pouani strike gave the team control.

Johnson netted again before half-time and Kian McMahon-Brown recorded a brace after the break to put the gloss on an afternoon that will live long in the players’ memories.

Should they be victorious this time around, a final against Bristol City or Sheffield Wednesday will follow.
