Top scorer Nathan Tella went off injured in the goalless draw at Reading, the forward missed Tuesday night's trip to Rotherham.
Boss Vincent Kompany confirmed in Thursday's press conference that Josh Brownhill and Jay Rodriguez are closing in on returns following their injuries.
Swedish international defender Hjalmar Ekdal is still absent with an injury picked up a couple of weeks ago.

QUEENS PARK RANGERS
Rangers are expected to be without centre-back Leon Balogun after he was forced off against Coventry. The experienced defender is likely to miss the rest of the season due to a suspected hamstring issue.
Osman Kakay will miss the rest of 2022/23 due to the knee problem that has kept him side-lined since mid-March.
