Burnley

Striker Michael Obafemi and defender Hjalmar Ekdal remain the only long-term absentees for Saturday's meeting with United.

Obafemi suffered an injury in the summer on international duty with Ireland and is still recovering, whilst Ekdal suffered an unfortunate blow against Forest in the Carabao Cup fixture last month which will rule him out of this fixture.

Forward Lyle Foster will miss the clash after picking up a straight red card against Steve Cooper's men on Monday night.

Winger Anass Zaroury made his return from suspension at Forest after missing the previous three.

Mike Tresor made his debut for the Clarets in Monday's draw after coming off the bench in the second half.

Manchester United

Defensive duo Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane both missed Wednesday's trip to Bayern Munich through injury, with Varane not featuring since late August. Erik ten Hag confirmed that the pair have both trained this week and could be involved on Saturday night.

Luke Shaw and summer signing Mason Mount both started the first two games of the season but then picked up respective injuries following the Spurs defeat, which could see the pair sidelined for a few more weeks.

United were dealt another injury blow this week when it was confirmed on Monday before the Bayern trip that defener Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be out for at least two months through a hamstring injury picked up against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Sofyan Amrabat arrived on a season-long loan deal on deadline day and is yet to feature for United after missing out on the matchday squad through injury in the last three games since signing.

Malacia still remains a long-term absentee for the visitors after not playing any football since June for the Netherlands.
