Good evening, welcome to Turf Moor for tonight’s game against Manchester United.
I was proud of our performance on Monday away at Nottingham Forest. It was a game full of talking points, but I’m pleased to get our first point on the board.
Whilst we have endured a challenging start to the campaign, there’s been positives we can take forward and I felt that for large periods of the match, you could really see what we are building here. Our new signings are showing excellent signs and I’m excited to see the progress Vincent and the team will undoubtedly continue to make moving forward.
Since our last home game, the Club and Burnley FC in the Community, were pleased to announce Building Bridges Burnley as an Official Charity Partner for the 2023/24 season.
The partnership is an enhancement of our existing relationship and highlights our ongoing commitment to ensuring Burnley FC is One Club for All.
Over the course of the past few home fixtures, I’ve been disappointed to have to address some of the negative behaviour a minority of fans have displayed. You will notice an increase in messaging around the stadium tonight and as ever I want to reiterate that any fan that is found not to be adhering to the ground regulations in place at Turf Moor and who engages in behaviour that endangers supporters, staff or players around them, will receive a severe banning order from the Club.
I want everybody in attendance to have an enjoyable experience. Let’s get behind Vincent and the players and give them a loud welcome back to home turf - as we aim for three points this evening!
As always, thank you for your ongoing support. UTC!
The Chairman's programme notes can be found in tonight's matchday programme, which is available to purchase at the game or online here.
