Entering the Stadium
Fans will be greeted by West Ham United Supporter Liaison Officers (SLOs) and stewards on arrival to London Stadium. SLOs will offer support and assistance with any questions you may have.
Security and bag searches will take place on all bridges leading to the stadium. You may be requested to open your own bag to allow it to be searched. Each bridge will have a dedicated lane for accessibility supporters.
We strongly encourage all supporters to arrive early at the stadium to avoid missing kick-off. Supporters will be able to access the Stadium Island, with Club London hospitality Entrance B opening 2 hours and 30 minutes and general admission turnstiles opening 1 hours and 30 minutes before kick-off.
Once arriving at turnstile D, supporters will be required to scan their ticket either on their electronic device or as a paper ticket. If using a paper ticket, supporters will need to align the barcode with the scanner which will allow them access through the gate.
Stewards and Ticket Office staff will be on hand to assist supporters with any access requirements. They will try and resolve any issues at the turnstiles to reduce the number of supporters moving around the Stadium Island and prevent unnecessary visits to the Ticket Office.
Should you require any assistance before entering the ground, the West Ham’s matchday Supporter Liaison Officers (SLOs) are positioned at train stations, bridges, and on the Stadium Island to provide directions, offer support and note any feedback from supporters on matchday. You will find SLO information points outside of the stadium opposite turnstiles G, H, D (visiting supporters’ turnstile).
You can access the London Stadium Map here.
Bag Policy
London Stadium's bag policy discourages all supporters from bringing bags unless absolutely necessary. If you do need to bring a bag with you, please arrive early and allow plenty of time to accommodate a full search before entry. Large items of baggage, and luggage, are not permitted. Please be aware that there are not locker facilities for supporters to store their items during their visit.
In line with London Stadium’s Ground Regulations, large bags such as holdalls or suitcases will not be permitted into the ground. We would encourage supporters to avoid bringing bags, or only bring bags no larger than A4 in size where necessary. All bags will be subject to search before being permitted into London Stadium, and you may be asked to open your bag at the search points to allow searches to take place while keeping your distance.
London Stadium currently operates a 100% searching policy meaning all supporters and their belongings are subject to search for the safety and security of all attending the match. Bags will be subject to security checks as determined by stadium staff in their reasonable discretion, including on entry and exit and all approved bags are subject to additional inspections within the stadium.
Fans with medical bags or items they have to carry with them must be searched and we do advise to arrive early to avoid inconvenience and delays. For any enquiries around medication, contact accessibility@westhamunited.co.uk or call 0333 030 1966 and press option 1.
Flags/Banners
Should you wish to have your flag inside the stadium, please contact the Supporter Services team at West Ham United at least 48 hours prior to the game with your request. They can be contacted on supporterservices@westhamunited.co.uk.
You will need to provide a photo of the flag design, along with the size/dimensions of the flag and confirmation of the fire safety certificate.
Please note that all flags should meet the following criteria:
· The flag/banner is manufactured to British Standards and has been certified as fire retardant.
· The flag/banner is no larger than two metres by two metres (discretion may be shown provided there is space inside the stadium and where the flag is stored seasonally by the Supporter Services team).
· The banner is displayed in a suitable location and does not obstruct branding, LED panels or seats in use.
· The content of the banner is not derogatory, nor should it contain any language or wording deemed to be potentially inflammatory or offensive to any individual or group. Additionally, defamatory, political or offensive slogans will not be permitted.
· Kindly note that flag poles are not permitted inside the stadium, no matter what size or length the flag/pole is.
Should you arrive at London Stadium and the flag does not fall under the above guidelines, or you have not gained prior permission from Supporter Services, the flag will be denied entry or removed.
CCTV
CCTV and Body Worn Cameras are in use in all areas and London Stadium may use, or pass to the police or other relevant authority, any recordings for use in any proceedings to ensure the safety and security of all visitors subject to GDPR control measures.
