Head Coach Scott Parker insists that 'staying stable as an organisation and a team' is the key to success and warns of getting on board the 'emotional rollercoaster' of a season in football.
The Clarets head to Bristol on Saturday afternoon following three points against Swansea City prior to the international break. Parker says although there might be plenty of highs and lows throughout the campaign for the Clarets, the Burnley boss believes having stability will take the team to success.
Speaking to the media on Thursday afternoon, Parker explained: "We came off the back of the huge disappointment of last season and then we go into this season, with everything well documented and the noise around the summer.
"But the most important thing for us, is how we stay stable. To be successful, we need to stay stable as an organisation, as a team and as a Club.
"There's that emotional rollercoaster of a season and what being in professional sport brings, but we can't be on that rollercoaster and that's my job to ensure we don't get on it.
"There will be highs and lows, we need to take the jabs and bumps when we get them, but then not get too high when things go well for us.
"We'll never hide from the facts and the truth and we'll face up when we need to. But what we are bringing is that stability. At this present moment stability is key and keeping the calmness around the place will take us where we want to get to."

This week Parker visited Holly Grove Primary School in Burnley and the Clarets boss embraced the visit, highlighting the importance of spending time within the community.
"It's really important. I was a young kid off a council estate in London and never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever be sat in this position or have the playing career I had.
"I understand every single bit of what it means to every single fan and the local people. They are the bedrock of every football club, managers come and go, players come and go, but the fanbase never leaves."
When asked for an update on the squad's fitness, Parker said: "We're getting close, regarding players coming back. Nathan Redmond and Hjalmar Ekdal are pushing really well, which is pleasing.
"Lyle Foster is on the grass, he's still a bit away and this weekend comes a bit too soon for him. Aaron Ramsey, Hannes Delcroix and Joe Worrall are all progressing well and moving in the right direction."
