Ten years ago last month, Clarets skipper Josh Cullen made his Premier League debut for West Ham United.
The opponents were Sunday's visitors to Turf Moor, Liverpool, with the Hammers running out 3-0 winners at Anfield.
A lot has changed in that time for Cullen, who was named captain by gaffer Scott Parker at the start of the campaign, but his passion for the game and his desire to perform at the very highest level remains as important to him today, as it did back on that September afternoon on Merseyside in 2015.
This weekend, Liverpool head to Turf Moor as the reigning Premier League champions, having added Alexander Isak to their squad.
Cullen is well aware of the task in hand.
"I don't think you can focus on individuals - they've got world class quality throughout the squad," he said.
"We know we're going to have to perform to the very best of our ability, at our top level, to get something from the game.
"But being back at Turf Moor, after the international break, in front of our own supporters, we'll be ready to go. I'm sure the place will be rocking."
He added: "We don't fear any of our opponents.
"We're here on merit, we deserve to be in the Premier League and we're looking forward to every challenge that comes our way this season.
"We'll stick to our game plan, give it absolutely everything as we always do as a group, and try and get a positive result."
Cullen has enjoyed a fine start to the season, leading by example in the middle of the Clarets' midfield, including a man-of-the-match performance against Sunderland, in a 2-0 win, in our last Premier League home fixture.
"To score in the Premier League, in our first home game and on the day I walked out with my son as captain, was a very special day," he said.
"It was a great memory for me and my family - and of course, the most important thing was the three points.
"But now the only focus is on the next game.
"We've had three positive performances so far, including that first win against Sunderland, so we feel we're in a good place ahead of this weekend."
