Women’s team boss Lou Roberts has been named FAWNL Northern Premier Division Manager of the Month for November.
The Clarets enjoyed a hugely productive month under Roberts’ guidance, winning all five matches in all competitions by an aggregate score of 13-1.
In there were important league victories over Stoke City, Derby County and Rugby Borough, and Roberts was chosen by a combination of a judging panel and public vote.
“It’s a privilege to be recognised for the hard work, but it’s really important to remember that this is very much a team effort,” she said.
“The staff and players have been excellent over the last eight to 12 weeks, and this feels like recognition for their hard work, persistence, and desire to be better.
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the players and staff for being so open minded and embracing change, and applying themselves to what we’ve been trying to do.”
