A convincing Burnley win at Turf Moor saw the Clarets beat rivals Blackburn Rovers 3-0 and move to top of the Sky Bet Championship on Sunday afternoon.
Ashley Barnes opened the scoring in the second half, before Anass Zaroury doubled the home side's lead.
Barnes then grabbed his second of the day and Burnley's third to seal all three points with 10 minutes to go.
Vincent Kompany made two changes from the side that lost to Sheffield United last weekend, as Barnes and Josh Brownhill came in for Samuel Bastien and Nathan Tella, with Jay Rodriguez missing out through injury.
First Half
The Clarets’ first effort on goal came from a Brownhill free kick, as the midfielder whipped a fine ball in for Barnes, but the striker’s effort took a deflection out for a corner.
Rovers then had their first opportunity with 20 minutes played, as Lewis Travis played a through ball in for Brereton Diaz from a quick free kick, but the strength of Jordan Beyer saw the Chile forward fall to the floor and shout for a penalty, but David Coote waved way any appeals.
Manuel Benson then tried his luck, after a lively start from the Belgian, the winger cut inside and saw his drilled effort saved by Thomas Kaminski.
Brownhill was next for the Clarets to go for goal, but his effort from distance fizzed over and into the Barnfield Construction Stand.
Then with two minutes to go, Kaminski was forced into action once again, this time making a fine save to tip Barnes’ close-range effort over the bar.
The Burnley dominant half ended goalless, with the visitors not having a single shot on goal or creating any chances.
Second Half
Rovers started bright in the second half and with just a minute gone, Brereton Diaz forced Muric to palm his effort away, before Vitinho headed away for a corner.
But it was the Clarets who broke the deadlock, as Anass Zaroury picked out Barnes in the box with a lovely cross, with the forward guiding his header past Kaminski and wheeling away, as Turf Moor erupted.
Kompany’s men were not stopping there though and looked for a second shortly after, as Benson’s cross into the area was scooped just over from Barnes.
With 20 minutes left on the clock, the hosts came close once again, as Benson beat his man and broke down the right finding Barnes, but his strike fizzed just wide of the post.
However, the Clarets did get their deserved second through Zaroury, as the wideman fired home into the bottom corner past a stranded Kaminski and double the hosts' lead.
And heading into the final few minutes, Burnley had their third, as Barnes smashed home from close range to put the game out of sight.
