Manager Vincent Kompany described Sunday's 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at Turf Moor as a 'complete performance'.
An Ashley Barnes brace and Anass Zaroury strike saw the Clarets seal all three points in the East Lancashire derby against John Dahl Tomasson's side.
Post-match Kompany discussed the win, his praise for Barnes and the electric Turf Moor atmosphere.
Kompany on the result:
"It was one for the fans, I think the players delivered on the occasion, I'm just happy to see Turf Moor absolutely rocking.
"Seeing all the smiles on everyone's face it was just special, a great win for us and we're proud of them all in there.
"The players played well, they won their battles, we were able to restrict Blackburn to minimal chances, it was just a complete performance.
"It is massive for our fans and it gives us a lift for the next games and we head into the break now on a high."
Kompany on Barnes' performance:
"It's good for him, it kind of tells the story, at the beginning of the season you're telling players to hang in there when it's not there moment.
"You have to be patient and this league offers opportunities and he got to prove himself today in the biggest occasion.
"I have been in this position in my career and the only thing I can relate to is your moments when you are a little bit in the shadows and if your habits drop then your standards drop, and then you would never be able to do what he did today because your chance would come and then it's gone.
"So, I'm pleased for him, other players can also use this as motivation and believe that there moment can come."
Kompany on Zaroury:
"Anass deserved his goal for his performance in general, he's been outstanding for us since coming into the side.
"He saw the moment, got his minutes and has never looked back, so we're happy for him to take his chance and get another goal."
Kompany on bouncing back from defeat:
"I am just looking for the team to increase its consistency, this was a good week for us because we had a tough, tough, tough week leading up to Sheffield United and then we got a thumping there.
"They ran all over us so it was good for me to see how we reacted and the team went back to what it has done all season and be consistent and that is what I think is our biggest tool.
Kompany on the Turf Moor atmosphere:
"Today was special. Turf Moor is turning into a viscous place for other teams and that's what i needs to be, week in week out.
"We got a win today, on a big occasion, but there will be more games soon where we need them again just as much.
"I'm just glad we have given them something to go home happy with and smile about today."
