After their resounding 4-1 win over Rochdale in the Carabao Cup, Burnley are back in Premier League action on Saturday with a trip to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City.
Jay Rodriguez scored all four goals on a magical cup night and Sean Dyche was full of praise.
“It’s not an easy thing scoring four goals, and he did it with aplomb.
“It’s a good thing to have for us, someone who wants to go and certainly try and grab the shirt, and his performance has done him no harm at all.”
The Clarets will be looking to carry their cup form into the league programme. Dyche will not panic.
“There is a calmness to the way I work. That goes through the players. There is a belief pattern here that suggests we are a competitive outfit. We know the margins.”
Dyche knows how well Leicester have done in recent times.
“Leicester have done well over the last couple of seasons. Brendan {Rodgers} has put his stamp on it. It’s turned into a very good football club.”
Rodgers and Dyche were on the staff together at Watford. Dyche knows how well his opposite number has done.
”He’s never lacked the capability, he’s just become more rounded, more experienced, and that experience increases, going to Celtic and the experience of that, and then coming back down to a good club like Leicester and taking it on in his own format and way.”

Rodgers is confident Leicester will have a good season.
"We are focused on improving. I have a brilliant bunch of players who are always analysing and reflecting on what we can do to improve. At Millwall, we played with spirit and intensity. We have to repeat that this weekend and keep it consistent."
The former Liverpool boss stresses Evans must be handled with care after his injury troubles.
“It’s a long season. I’m delighted he’s got the game time and in and, absolutely, when he is playing we are a better team.
“He gives great authority and assurance to the backline and the team overall because of his tactical ability and the way he plays the game.
“We’ll see if he can start and, if not, he will certainly be on the bench.”
