The Clarets entertain Norwich City on Saturday with both sides looking for their first Premier League win of the season.
Burnley drew 2-2 at the King Power Stadium last Saturday. The Clarets led twice through a Jamie Vardy own goal and a volley from new signing Maxwel Cornet in his first top-flight start.
Daniel Farke’s side lost at Goodison Park last Saturday. Goals from Andros Townsend (penalty) and Abdoulaye Doucoure gave the Toffees a 2-0 win.
Saturday will be Sean Dyche’s 400th game as Burnley manager. He is close to his nine-year anniversary as Burnley boss. Dyche is philosophical about reaching the landmark.
"I don't forget the past, I don't forget the players that have given us success, but also I don't sit there thinking about it, all I'm thinking about now is winning our next game.
“The patience of our fans even through our tricky periods has been fantastic. They want to see wins. They’ve become a big part of what we have tried to achieve here.”
The Burnley boss has been encouraged by recent performances even if that elusive Premier League win hasn’t come.
“The performance at Leicester was a good one and a strong one. It’s an agreed moment between us that the next levels are to turn those good performances into wins.
“We are not too far away but you still need a smidge of luck. I believe in the performance levels and I believe in making your own luck through the performances.”
With regards to Norwich, Dyche knows they will be tricky opponents.
“It’s tough, we’ve been through it ourselves. They have come up for a second time. They are a decent outfit. You can’t find your way into the Premier League unless you are a decent outfit. We’ve got to make sure we look after ourselves.”

The Canaries are currently on a run of 16 successive losses in the top-flight. Six of those defeats have come this season. Only Portsmouth (2009/10) and Crystal Palace (2017/18), with seven, have had a longer losing streak from the beginning of a Premier League season.

The former Borussia Dortmund reserve team manager wants league results.
“There’s no replacement for points," said Farke.
"The earlier we can get off the mark the better. You have to win against the teams around you and we should have won against Watford. We want to pick up a point on the road or a surprising win.”
It’s a big afternoon for Tim Krul. He believes City should be judged after more games.
“Winning games is where confidence is going to come from but we’re Premier League players and we need to deal with losses and negativity," said the Netherlands international.
