Burnley boss Scott Parker is relishing Premier League football returning to Turf Moor this weekend following the latest international break.

The Clarets host fellow newly-promoted side Leeds United on Saturday afternoon, seeking a second win of the season.

"It's always nice to be back at home," said Parker.

"We were strong at Turf Moor last season, and we've been very competitive in every game we've played at home this season so far.

"Our home form will be vital for us this campaign, we know that.

"We're looking forward to putting on a good performance in front of our home fans, and hopefully getting a crucial three points."

Lyle Foster will face a late fitness test after sustaining a dead leg on international duty, but Connor Roberts will miss out again, having suffered a setback in his recovery from injury. Parker confirmed Roberts will be sidelined for a 'couple of months'.

Leeds have started the season positively, with eight points from their opening seven fixtures and Parker is well aware of the threats posed by Daniel Farke's side.

"It's a massive game for us," he said.

"They're a highly competitive team. They've got off to a really good start.

"We know what we're facing, they've recruited well, they've got a lot of quality - there's a lot of similarities of what we faced last season.

"We'll be ready, we've prepared well, and we're looking forward to it."

Burnley's only win of the season so far came against another newly-promoted side, Sunderland, at Turf Moor, in August - but Parker believes his charges are on the right track, with the hard work continuing at Gawthorpe during the international break.

"Every challenge is part of the journey, and we face it together," he said.
