'We'll go there full steam ahead' - that's the message from Scott Parker ahead of the Clarets' clash against Brentford on Saturday.

Burnley travel south for matchweek 13 in the Premier League this weekend, with the Clarets seeking a second away victory of the campaign.

Parker is determined for his side to build on the progress he is seeing from his charges week in, week out, commenting: "My general feeling around us as a group is that I see a massive progression.

"I don't think you can give much notice to a league table at this stage of the season - what I do take notice of is what I see from this group on a daily basis and how this young group is progressing in a lot of areas on this journey that we're on.

"Of course there's still progress to be made and learnings to be had, as we look to get more points on the board in this division, but a dozen games in, I'm pleased with what I've seen for the large part.

"We need to keep doing what we're doing; we need to stay focused; we need to stay calm - and we need to front up when things aren't going our way.

"At this level, precision is everything. The finest margins of quality decide games, and that’s where we need to be more focused and sharper.

"But I like the look of the group and the progress we're making."

Ahead of the fixture in west London this weekend, Parker was full of praise for his opposite number, Keith Andrews, highlighting the 'fantastic' job he's done in this opening few months at the helm.

"Brentford are a strong team, make no mistake about it," said Parker.

"They're a team that have been around this division for a while now, and you can see that in their performances.

"Keith has done a fantastic job in the short time he's been in charge there - it's going to be a tough game for us.

"They know how to get results, in particular at home - it's always a tough place to go.

"On the flip side, we've prepared for this game with the ambition of going there and getting a result - I certainly feel we can go there and cause them problems.

"We'll go there with full steam ahead."
