Defender looks ahead to Brentford clash this weekend

Axel Tuanzabe insists the Burnley squad are heading down to the capital this weekend in a positive mindset.

The Clarets are back on the road with an away fixture against Brentford on Saturday afternoon, and whilst recent results have not yielded the return the defender and his team-mates will have wanted, he is buoyed by the performances Scott Parker's men are producing on a weekly basis.

"There's been a lot of positives to take from the games of late," said the Congolese international.

"We've been in all of the games. There have been spells when we've had a lot of momentum in the games.

"You never know how many chances you're going to get in the Premier League. We've spoken a lot about executing the chances when they come our way.

"We feel we're moving in the right direction, and we're growing by the game."

Brentford - under the guidance of Keith Andrews - head into this weekend's fixture in 13th place, having lost only once at the Gtech so far this season.

Tuanzabe is well aware of the challenge Andrews' charges will provide on Saturday.

"Brentford is another big game for us," he acknowledged.

"We've played a lot of top-six club's in our opening dozen games, but there's a run of fixtures coming up now that we're looking at positively.

"Brentford are a very good team, especially at home. They're going to be dangerous, but we can cause teams problems too.

"We showed that at West Ham, and whilst we were really disappointed with how the game ended, there was enough in that match to show we've got what it takes to go away from home, like we did at Wolves, and get a positive result.

"We're in a positive mindset, there's still a lot of positivity around the team."
