Boss wants a bouncing Turf Moor tonight!

Burnley boss Scott Parker has called for a reaction from his players, as the Clarets prepare to welcome Crystal Palace to Turf Moor tonight.

Speaking ahead of the visit of Oliver Glasner's side to BB10, Parker - whose side have enjoyed home wins over Sunderland and Leeds United so far this season - is keen to see his team make it a hat-trick of Premier League home victories this evening.

"There’s a busy period coming up - it's a brilliant period for us," said Parker.

"Four home games at our stadium before the start of the new year.

"We need to see a reaction, put our best foot forward and get some more points on the board.

"Palace are a tough opponent, for sure. They're a team that has been together a long time - they're well coached with a really strong structure.

"We're up against a really well-drilled opponent, but as always, we're at home, and I want to see a reaction from the players."

He added: "We need Turf Moor bouncing.

"We need the fans to bring the full support they always give us.

"It can't be underestimated how big a role the supporters can play - we need a siege mentality, on and off the pitch.

"There's going to be a real endeavour from us to bring that energy to the stadium, and we want the fans to be part of it too."

After a narrow defeat at Brentford on Saturday, where the Clarets conceded two late goals to succumb to a 3-1 reverse, Parker spoke at length about the need to manage certain situations better.

He added more on that subject ahead of the Palace match, commenting: "The nearly stuff needs to be better.

"We’ve just fallen a bit short in what certain situations in the game require from us.

"We’re a young group - but we’re progressing. I’ve got experience of being in the arena and I can see we’re making steps to progress.

"In the fast lane of the Premier League, we have to try and get there as quickly as we can - learning to eradicate mistakes and seizing the moment.

"There’s a togetherness that tells me we’re all in this collectively - everyone is aligned and on the same page to make sure we get positive results."
