Clarets take on the Eagles in midweek action

Scott Parker's side return to Turf Moor on Wednesday evening, as Burnley take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

The Clarets will be aiming to bounce back from Saturday's defeat at Brentford and kick off December with a result back on home turf.

Burnley are currently 19th in the league table, but a victory against the Eagles could lift the Clarets out of the relegation zone, with just two points separating four teams.

Meanwhile, Palace head to Lancashire after suffering a defeat of their own on Sunday to Manchester United, but still sit 9th in the Premier League, just two points off 5th.

The opposition

The Eagles head to Lancashire looking to return to winning ways, after losing their last two games in all competitions, Oliver Glasner's side will be aiming to continue the form that saw them go five games unbeaten prior to those two defeats.

After an opening day goalless draw with Chelsea, Palace's first loss of the 2025/26 campaign came all the way in October, following draws with Nottingham Forest & Sunderland and victories over Aston Villa, West Ham United, Liverpool and Dynamo Kyiv in their UEFA Conference League opener.

A first defeat of the season arrived in early October to Everton, which saw the Eagles go on a four match winless run, after a draw with Bournemouth was followed by defeats to AEK Larnaca and Arsenal.

However, that tricky spell of fixtures proved to be a turning point for the Eagles, as Glasner's side returned to their impressive form, starting with an EFL Cup win over Liverpool at Anfield.

Wins against Brentford, AZ Alkmaar and Wolves followed that, before a defeat last Thursday in France to Strasbourg, with the London side then losing at Selhurst Park for the first time this season on Sunday to Manchester United.
