Burnley Women are pleased to announce the arrival of Maddie Oliver, who joins on a dual registration basis from Manchester City until the end of the 2024/25 season.
The defender has previous third tier experience with Halifax and is available for this afternoon’s game against West Bromwich Albion at Turf Moor.
After putting pen to paper, she said: “I’m excited to get playing and be part of the team.
“I’ve been training with the girls for a little while now and everybody’s been really nice.
“I like to try and be aggressive and attacking minded, set up positive play and like a good tackle too!”
Centre-back Oliver has progressed through City’s academy system and has a familiar face in the Clarets squad in Emma Siddall.
Still just 17 years old, she spent the 2023/24 season with Halifax on a dual registration deal and scored her first senior goal with a long-range effort against Derby County in March 2024.
Oliver will wear number 17 during her time in Lancashire.
