Reanna Blades’ second goal in as many games earned Burnley Women a 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon.
The winger struck with 50 minutes on the clock at Turf Moor to earn the Clarets a first victory in three games.
There were three changes to the side that started last weekend’s draw at Nottingham Forest, with Naomi Hartley coming into the heart of the defence.
Elsewhere, Rhema Lord-Mears replaced Amelia Hazard and Blades’ cameo off the bench at the City Ground earned her a starting birth here.

An injury to Marli Rhodes-Andrews made it a bitty start to the match, with the West Brom striker eventually being replaced after 10 minutes.
Burnley controlled possession and pushed forwards at every opportunity, but it was the visitors who had the best chance of the opening quarter when Issy Green struck the bar from range.
Rebecca Sawiuk’s side continued to try and use Blades’ pace down the right and came closest scoring in the first half through that route, but Anna Grey was unable to convert her fellow winger’s cut back.
That combination did prove fruitful five minutes after the restart when Grey’s pass found Blades with the help of a touch from the Baggies ‘keeper, and Burnley’s 37 slotted home from close range.

Claudia Walker and Charley Docherty were introduced shortly after the hour and the latter looked sharp from the off, heading an Emma Siddall corner narrowly wide before having a goal ruled out for offside in the build-up.
At this point it was only Burnley who looked like finding the second goal of the match, with substitute Aimee Kelly being thwarted from close range and Brenna McPartlan firing wide after a smart turn.
Burnley defended resolutely and the last 10 minutes or so passed without much incident, with the Clarets earning a valuable three points in their pursuit of league leaders Forest.
The result sees Sawiuk’s side climb above Wolverhampton Wanderers and into 3rd on goal difference, with Liverpool Feds the next opponents on Wednesday 25th September.
