Clarets travel to Merseyside to face the Toffees

Burnley hit the road again on Tuesday night, as the Clarets travel to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to face Everton, live on TNT Sports.

Scott Parker's men will be looking to bounce back from Saturday's defeat to Brentford, after coming from three goals down to draw level, before then narrowly losing in stoppage time, with two goals for the home side disallowed by VAR.

Ahead of facing the Toffees, the Clarets occupy 19th place in the league table, six points off West Ham in 18th and eight points off Nottingham Forest in 17th.

Tuesday's hosts go into the clash off the back of a 3-2 win at Newcastle at the weekend, with David Moyes' side sat 8th in the table.

“I like Everton, they’re a good side. A brilliant coach in David. Good team, you have players coming back now as well. Last time we played them they were a little bit depleted down to injuries and players being away with AFCON.

“They’ve made some acute signings in the summer with some really good players and they’re picking up some good results. One being the weekend, going away to Newcastle and getting three points there.

“I’ve not been to the new stadium, a different experience. We’re up against a huge challenge of course we are. But as always, we’re looking forward to that challenge and we’re looking to try and take this head on.”
