Clarets head to London to face the Eagles

Burnley are in midweek Premier League action on Wednesday night, as Scott Parker's men take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Clarets will be aiming to bounce back from last week's defeats to Sunderland and West Ham United, with a four match unbeaten run prior to them.

Ahead of travelling to London, Burnley occupy 19th spot in the Premier League table, eight points behind the Hammers in 18th and 11 behind Nottingham Forest in 17th.

The Eagles head into this clash off the back of a derby day win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, which ended a winless run of 12 matches in all competitions.

Tickets for the match are no longer available and there are no sales on the day at Selhurst Park.

The opposition

Last season's Emirates FA Cup winners Crystal Palace have endured an up-and-down campaign so far this season, with the Eagles currently sat 13th in the Premier League table and in the knock-out stages of the UEFA Conference League.

Oliver Glasner's side began the 2025/26 campaign well, not losing their first game of the season until October, after going unbeaten in the opening 10 fixtures in all competitions.

That first defeat of the season was away to Everton, with the London club then unable to win any of their next three games, including a UEFA Conference League tie with AEK Larnaca.

However, the Eagles responded to that four match winless run across October with a 3-0 win at Anfield in the Carabao Cup, before going on to secure three wins from their next four games.

Although November ended with back-to-back defeats in the Conference League and Premier League, Palace bounced back once again with three straight wins, with the first of them against Burnley at Turf Moor.

However, that win in Europe over Irish club Shelbourne on 11th December was their last win, prior to last Sunday's victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Throughout that 12 match winless run across December to February, there were league defeats to Man City, Leeds United, Spurs, Newcastle, Sunderland and Chelsea, with draws against Fulham, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest and that shock FA Cup upset defeat to National League North side Macclesfield.

For any Palace fan though, if there was one way to put that disappointing run to an end, it would have been in last Sunday's clash with the Seagulls, as the Eagles came out on top through Ismaïla Sarr's second-half goal.
