Clarets take on the Hammers at Turf Moor

Scott Parker's men are back in action at Turf Moor on Saturday, as Burnley host West Ham United in the Premier League.

The Clarets go into this weekend's clash aiming to bounce back from Monday's defeat to Sunderland, after being unbeaten in the previous four before then.

Before facing the Hammers, Burnley sit 19th in the league table and five points behind Saturday's visitors, with an 11 point gap to climbing out of the bottom three.

West Ham head to Lancashire off the back of a 3-2 defeat to Chelsea last weekend, after winning their previous three fixtures before that loss at Stamford Bridge.

The opposition

West Ham have suffered a tricky campaign so far this season, with the Hammers sat in the relegation zone five points above the Clarets, despite a recent turn in form last month.

The London side started the season with a 3-0 defeat to Sunderland, but their disappointing start didn't stop there, as they went on to pick up just one win in their next eight Premier League games.

After reaching November with just the one league victory from the first nine fixtures, the Irons then secured back-to-back wins over Newcastle and Burnley, before picking up draws at Bournemouth, Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, despite the turn in form across November and December, five disappointing defeats from their next six games then followed, before an FA Cup win against QPR at the start of January sparked a three-match winning run.

After knocking the R's out of the cup, West Ham went on to defeat both Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland back-to-back, before then coming close to claiming three points at Chelsea, but despite being two goals ahead at the break, the Irons fell to a late 3-2 loss.
