Manager Vincent Kompany believes his side created 'really good chances' against Sunderland on Friday night but admits a draw was a fair result in the end for both teams.
The Clarets had opportunities to find the back of the net through Ashley Barnes, Josh Brownhill and Manuel Benson, whilst Sunderland came close through strikes from Amad Diallo and Dan Neil.
It was the first goalless draw at Turf Moor this season but the draw saw Burnley continue their unbeaten run at home with just three games to go in Lancashire.
Speaking post-match on Friday, Kompany said: "In the end the game was fairly even. I think we had the more big chances, we could have had more, but we had the better chances.
"A couple of chances Sunderland had were really good chances as well, so based on chances I think we both could have scored a goal.
"But in the end you have to give credit to Sunderland. They played really well. So, yeah, maybe not a bad point at all."
The Clarets had 13 players away on international duty over the past 10 days, with Lyle Foster still yet to return and Kompany admits it is not easy to prepare with only one training session as a group.
"It’s difficult that we still have a player to come back. It’s a Friday night game, players have come back from all over the world.

"Look, we’ve been used to a busy schedule the only difference is we haven’t had the with us so that’s why I can look at this game and say ok I’ve seen this happen before.
"We had chances but in the end a draw’s probably not a bad result and we look forward to the next game." Said Kompany.
It was the first game back at Turf Moor in just under three weeks and the Burnley boss was impressed with the sell-out crowd once again.
Kompany said: "The atmosphere was great tonight and we just wish we could have had that goal.
"The lads gave everything so I can’t complain. We can discuss about thinks that could have been better but in the end they gave everything so no complaints on that.
"Hopefully that will be again the case next Friday against Middlesbrough and we’ll have the support and hopefully we’ll be just that little bit more better in the final third."
