Manager Vincent Kompany believes there is still 'an opportunity to do something special' this season as the Clarets prepare for their final 10 matches of the Premier League campaign.
Burnley host Brentford on Saturday at Turf Moor before the March international break and Kompany is hoping his side can kickstart a run of games this weekend.
Speaking to the media on Thursday afternoon, Kompany acknowledged that the Clarets need results and points following last weekend's point at West ham, but says there are still 10 games left for his team to make history.
The Clarets boss said: "I do look for any opportunity to do something special whenever I can and we still have 10 games left of the season, that's an opportunity to do something special there.
"We experienced something last season and there is no reason whatsoever as to why we can't do something like that again. Why not?
"I can't sit here and say the lads haven't come close (to getting results). We've been on the wrong end of results here and there, but these types of situations can change.
"Misfortune can turn and we just have to do everything we can that this weekend can be the turning point."

Burnley last faced Thomas Frank's side in October earlier this season where goals from Yoan Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo and Saman Ghoddos secured all three points for the London side on a disappointing afternoon for Kompany and his men.
However, the Clarets chief says that game was a turning point for his side and praised the progress made since the last two teams met.
"That game was one of the bad games this season, however it was a turning point for us. I know we had the Bournemouth game after that which we lost, but after them games every match since we have been in and competed.
"Ok, take out Arsenal and Crystal Palace last month but we have sharpened up, changed our intensity and overall showed a better version of us and you can see the progression made since then."

Kompany was asked for an update on his squad ahead of the weekend and the Burnley boss is hopeful of a few 'positive surprises' to feature against the Bees.
"There's no fresh injury concerns for us but maybe a few positive surprises. Most players are close to returning apart from the long-term ones and hopefully the international break can help us bring a few more players back for the final games."
