Tony Philliskirk’s youth team will now kick-off at 12pm (BST) against Birmingham City in the final game of their campaign next Friday – 5th May – at the Burnley Training Centre.
The U18 Professional Development League clash was initially scheduled to get underway an hour later, but the two Clubs have now agreed on a midday commencement.
Philliskirk’s side are already guaranteed to finish 7th in the Northern Section of the U18 PDL, while visitors Birmingham – who still have two games remaining – could reach 8th.
Accordingly, there will now be a double-header of action at the Burnley Training Centre on Friday with the U21s first hosting Blackburn Rovers in the semi-finals of the Lancashire Senior Cup (10.30am KO) before the U18s get underway at 12pm against Birmingham City.
