Head Coach Scott Parker says although he and his side are excited about the current position they have put themselves in, the Clarets boss highlighted the three main factors that have been the key messaging all season and that they remain for the final two weeks of the 2024/25 campaign.

'Belief, clear focus and real togetherness' is the wording Parker responded with when questioned on if anything changes now with just four crucial Sky Bet Championship fixtures left of the season.

The Clarets head to Watford on Friday afternoon, before taking on Sheffield United on Easter Monday and the Burnley chief acknowledged the magnitude of the fixtures but urges his side to remain focussed and take it one game at a time.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Parker explained: "It's no different for us, really. I think we're at the stage of this season where, for me there's probably three key things and one is belief, one's a clear focus and a real togetherness.

"Now this team, we believe in everything that we've built, and we believe in everything that we do focus wise. We've been focussed throughout this year in terms of game after game and moments and probably the biggest thing for this group is sticking together and being together.

"That will be the key rider from now until the end of the season and that's been the key message throughout this year. They will still be the key things leading into the back end of the season."

Parker continued: "We're excited about where we are and where we currently sit and excited about the opportunity that may arise for us.

"But the full message for us is focus on Friday and let everything else take care of itself. You can't worry about down the line.

"I know we're four games out, but we have stuck to that mantra all year and that's what has got us to this point, and we still fully commit to that."

The first of two games in four days is a trip to Vicarage Road on Friday and Parker had plenty of praise for Tom Cleverley and his side and is expecting them to 'cause problems'.

"It'll be a challenge; they're a good side. Tom's (Cleverley) done a good job in there as well. So, as always when going away from home, we're going to need to bring some ingredients to this game.

"We're in a great place and no doubt that we can cause them problems, but on the flip side, they've got qualities in their side that if we are just a little bit off where we need to be, the vice versa can happen really. So, we'll be fully tuned in and ready for a tough game."
