Winger delighted to get on scoresheet and take three points

Jaidon Anthony couldn't wipe the smile off his face after the 2-0 win over Swansea City on Saturday and the winger was more than pleased to return to the scoresheet for the Clarets.

Burnley took the lead in Swansea through Josh Brownhill's opener, before Anthony slammed in the second of the afternoon and the two goals were enough to see Scott Parker's side take all three points.

Speaking post-match in Wales, Anthony smiled: "I probably should have scored the first shot to be fair, but it came down nicely and luckily I was on hand to put it away and score the goal.

"It was an unbelievable feeling and meant a lot to me, because I felt like I was due a goal, so hopefully I can go on now and add a few more before the end of the season."

The 25-year-old continued: "We're buzzing with it (the win) and I'm buzzing to get another goal too. I think it's been a long time coming, but yeah I'm really pleased with today and the performance all round."

Following the victory over City, Anthony's goal saw his goal contributions move up to 10 for the season, with six assists and four goals but the wideman admits it could be even more.

"I probably could have had some more as well, but I know what I can do and bring to the team, so the aim is to just continue doing that going forward."

The Clarets controlled and dominated the 90 minutes against the Swans and Anthony spoke about the importance of heading into the international break on a high.

"You always feel solid with our defence and how good they are, but I thought as a team we just controlled the game and could have added a few more goals too.

"Overall, it was a comfortable win and we're really pleased to be going into the international break on a high."
