Six players from the Clarets academy are currently out on loan across the Football League & non-league pyramid.
With defender Bobby Thomas taking the headlines for his goal in Bristol Rovers’ win at Cheltenham Town, here’s a round-up of how the loanees have fared in the last seven days.
Bobby Thomas (Bristol Rovers)
Centre back Thomas enjoyed a double winning week which started with a 1-0 success at MK Dons and ended with a 4-1 victory at Cheltenham Town.
Playing the full 90 minutes in both matches, the 21-year-old was on the scoresheet in the latter against ex-Claret Wade Elliott’s Robins side. Heading home the Gas’ third of the afternoon in Gloucestershire, Thomas netted the second goal of his loan spell.
Thomas – who joined the Clarets in 2017 – is on a season-long loan deal.
