A MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGER (2023, 9)
Vinny's notes ahead of this afternoon's game
2023-08-27T11:30:00.000Z
Hello again!
We go into this afternoon’s match full of positivity after two weeks of hard work on the training pitch.
You never feel good about a defeat but we saw enough against Manchester City to know we’ve made progress since the last time we played them.
This team is only going to get stronger now.
For us, it’s about progress. It was the same attitude last year and always, always progress.
We’ve looked back at how we can improve on the last game and how we can improve the players and rest assured - they will improve.
We have that attitude and mentality here to put in the hard work. We took enough from the game to build on and we will do that.
You have to work hard here. You don’t just get given opportunities.
We know what it takes to get to the top and we have a team here at Burnley with a massive heart and plenty of courage.
This team is only going to get better. It’s an exciting team to work with.
Vinny
