Good evening, welcome to Turf Moor for tonight’s game against West Bromwich Albion.
What a brilliant win against Luton Town on Saturday afternoon. I was delighted with the four goals and three points!
The sun was shining at Turf Moor on the day and spirits were high. It was a fantastic performance, and I was so pleased for Lyle, who has been working incredibly hard, to get his goal.
Well done also to Ashley and Josh, it was so great to see the reaction of the players, even those on the bench to each of the goals. It shows a real togetherness in the group.
Staying on the topic of Ashley and Josh, both were presented with shirts at the game to mark some special milestones, Ashley’s 300 appearances for the Clarets and Josh’s 200 appearances.
Both are fantastic achievements, and I’m delighted that we could present two players who have contributed so heavily to our success with a special moment on the day.
We also announced the good news that Connor Roberts has signed a new contract. Connor’s experience is incredibly valuable, and he is a thoroughly brilliant character to have both on the pitch and in the dressing room.
He’s been an integral part of our record-breaking defence this season, so it’s wonderful to see him put pen to paper and continue his journey with us.
We announced recently that our U21s will be taking to the turf once again on the 18th March when they take on Fleetwood Town U21s.
The team are enjoying a positive season in the Professional Development League and the experience of playing at the stadium should benefit the young players and their development.
Season ticket holders can gain entry for free and non-season ticket holders are priced at £5 for adults and £2 for concessions. If you can get down to cheer on the boys on the evening your support will be greatly appreciated.
We have another tough game ahead of us this evening but as ever we’re ready for the battle.
Let’s get behind Scott and the team.
UTC!
