During the half term holidays last week, Burnley U13s, U14s and U15s were invited to an event with first team players Josh Brownhill, Jay Rodriguez and Han-Noah Massengo.
Organised as part of a specially devised week of activities, the youngsters learned about the trio’s footballing careers to date before having the opportunity to ask questions.
Topics covered included the importance of enjoyment at the age, hobbies outside of football, the pros and cons of social media, matchday preparation and being a good professional.
Brownhill, Rodriguez and Massengo also shared their memories of Academy football and talked about some of the best players they’ve played with and against.

Speaking after the event David Longwell, Burnley’s Academy Manager, said: “Our Academy players look up to the first teamers, so to be able to get them in a room together was a great experience for them all.
“At Burnley we go by the One Club For All ethos and this kind of work is testament to everybody buying into that.
“There was lots of useful insight and thought-provoking conversation, and I was pleased to see them all so engaged.
“My thanks go to Josh, Jay and Han-Noah for giving up their time, and I hope they enjoyed the session too.”
