Burnley Women will aim to take three valuable league points when they face their Stoke City counterparts on Sunday afternoon.
Rebecca Sawiuk’s team are relishing a return to action, with the weather causing the postponement of Thursday night’s trip to Halifax.
Burnley’s last outing was the 1-1 Northern Premier Division of the Women’s National League draw at West Bromwich Albion last weekend.
Phoebe Warner gave the hosts a 14th-minute lead at the Hawthorns but the Clarets fought back and earned a point via Aimee Kelly, who produced a creative flick to score from close range.
As such, Burnley sit 3rd with 30 points from their 14 matches and are four points behind 2nd-placed Nottingham Forest, who have played a game more.

Stoke City were 2-0 victors over Derby County on Wednesday night, courtesy of first half goals from Heidi Logan and Lily Murphy.
The Potters currently sit just a place behind Burnley in the table but have played a game more.
They are led by Marie Hourihan, who has overseen the team since the summer when she became the Club’s first full-time Head Coach alongside a coaching role within their Academy.
The two teams are yet to play each other last season, but the Clarets were 7-2 victors when they clashed in April 2023.
Kick-off at Emerys Stadium (ST6 1QF) is 2pm and supporters are more than welcome to attend. Entry on the turnstiles is £3 for adults and £1 for juniors.
