Burnley Women are preparing to hit the road with a trip to Derby County in the Northern Premier Division of the Women’s National League on Sunday.
The Clarets are relishing the opportunity to make up ground in the title race, with two games in hand on Nottingham Forest and three on Newcastle United.
Rebecca Sawiuk’s side’s last outing was against the Magpies on Sunday 11th February, with three fixtures being postponed because of the weather since.
Derby County are 5th in the table, with six wins from their 13 league matches to date.
They come into the game in buoyant mood after beating Exeter City 4-2 last weekend to book a place in their first ever national final as a club.
The Rams will now play Cambridge United in April with the Women’s National League Plate up for grabs.
These two teams are yet to lock horns this season. The last time they did was March 2023, with the Clarets winning 4-1 in the league.
Recent additions Abby Clarke and Paris Dalton are available to make their debuts at the Don Amott Arena, should they be selected.
Emma Siddall and Monique Robinson will be hoping to build on their Burnley debuts against Newcastle too.
Kick-off at the home of Mickleover FC (DE3 9FC) is 2pm, with tickets available to purchase at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
If you can’t make it, you can follow updates on X @BurnleyFCWomen and a match report will follow the final whistle on www.burnleyfootballclub.com.
