Burnley FC Women travel to Kellamergh Park on Wednesday night (August 31) for their first midweek game of the 2022/23 campaign, taking on AFC Fylde Women.
Jonathan Morgan’s Claret Women have started the season with two wins in their first two, beating Stoke City Women 1-0 at the County Ground last Sunday in front of 291 spectators, a record crowd.
Millie Ravening’s penalty late on in the first half made the difference against the Potters, with captain & goalkeeper Lauren Bracewell going on to save a spot kick from Stoke’s Callan Barber midway through the second 45.
Having featured as a trialist in the opening day win at Derby County Women, Ella Kinzett made her official debut on Sunday, with fellow Manchester United dual-signing Emma Taylor also coming on from the bench for her first Burnley appearance.
Sarah Greenalgh and Courtney Willis also both made their first appearances of the season from the bench, while Spanish attacker Amaya Coleman-Evans – signed less than 24 hours prior – made her bow as a substitute.

Morgan’s side now look to make it three from three in the Northern Premier Division of the FA Women’s National League, going up against the Coasters who are still searching for a first win of the season as well as a first goal.
Drawing 0-0 with Brighouse Town Ladies on the opening day, Danielle Young’s side lost out 2-0 away at Nottingham Forest Women last time out.
Both sides have seen change over the summer with the Coasters adding five signings to their ranks - Ellie Cook, Iszy Binks, Caz Fields, Katie Smith & Kelsey Pearson – but the two sides were no strangers last season, meeting four separate times.
As well as the two league fixtures, which saw a 2-0 win for Fylde and a 2-2 draw – there were also two separate meetings in cup competitions.
A snowy November afternoon saw Burnley run out 3-2 winners at Kellamergh Park in the Women’s FA Cup, before a memorable evening at the County Ground in March resulted in the Clarets lifting the Lancashire FA Women’s Challenge Cup for the first time.
