Burnley Women booked their place in the second round of the FA Women’s National League Cup with a 1-0 victory over Sutton Coldfield Town Women on Sunday afternoon.
A Sarah Lampitt own goal in the first half was the difference between the two teams at the Domino’s Arena.
Rebecca Sawiuk rotated her squad on the back of Wednesday’s last-gasp win at Liverpool Feds, with five changes to the starting XI.
Naoisha McAloon played in goal as she did in the determining round against AFC Fylde, while defender Maddie Oliver came in for her first appearance since joining on dual registration terms from Manchester City.
Elsewhere, Grace Palmer slotted into the midfield and Aimee Kelly and Reanna Blades took the wide roles either side of striker Claudia Walker.

The Clarets dominated possession for the entirety of the first half and created chances early doors, with Kelly and Walker both narrowly missing the top left corner in the opening five minutes.
The deadlock was broken with 22 on the clock as Blades beat her defender on the right and fizzed the ball across goal, with Sutton Coldfield’s Lampitt only able to turn it past her own ‘keeper.
Burnley continued to push forwards and, after Brenna McPartlan hit the bar with a free-kick from 22 yards, Blades flashed another effort wide after good skill down the left.
Liv Owen had the hosts’ best chance of the first half three minutes before its end, but the striker’s header from a corner went wide.
Having taken a one-goal lead into the break Sawiuk made her first change five minutes after the restart, bringing on Laura Elford in place of Palmer.
Kelly then tried her luck from the edge just after the hour and that was her last involvement of the day, with Anna Grey coming on in her place at the same time as Amelia Hazard replaced Bella Reidford.

The fresh legs seemed to boost Burnley’s attacking impetus with Walker producing a fine touch and turn to work Maddie Elbro from close range.
Burnley then came agonisingly close to scoring a second goal four times between the 80th and 85th minute, with Siddall almost netting directly from a corner.
Grey then hit the bar with a powerful effort and Marshall reacted quickest, but her header was just over.
McPartlan was denied by a flying save with five minutes to play and with the Clarets unable to find a second, the game finished 1-0.
Burnley will learn of their second-round opponents on Monday evening, with the tie set to take place on Sunday 20th October.
Sawiuk’ side return to league action when Derby County visit the County Ground in Leyland on Sunday 6th October. Kick-off is 2pm.
