Burnley Women booked their place in the third round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup with a 4-0 victory over Norwich City on Sunday afternoon.
First-half strikes from Charlie Chadwick, Thea Paul and Emma Siddall were added to by Aimee Kelly after the break on a damp but productive day in Padiham.
There were two changes to the team that started last week’s league victory over Derby County at Turf Moor, with Naomi Hartley stepping into the back five.
Chadwick started up front alongside Claudia Walker, with Yana Daniëls retaining the captain’s armband in midfield alongside Millie Chandarana and Millie Ravening.

The first real action of note saw Chadwick open the scoring in the ninth minute. She was slid through on goal by Walker and after her first effort was saved, she reacted quickly to poke home.
Charley Docherty's cross was diverted into the path of Paul six minutes later, and the left wing-back confidently picked out the bottom right corner to make it 2-0.
Yana Daniëls later forced Sarah Quantrill into a flying save but it wasn’t all one-way traffic, with Kirstie Levell having to back peddle and punch Freya Symonds’ deep free-kick to safety.
However, Siddall put the result beyond any doubt before the break when she surged down the inside right channel and unleashed a powerful effort that found its way in off the bar.
Chadwick almost added a fourth less than a minute after the restart, but the striker could only find the side netting from 10 yards.
Norwich then thought they’d reduced the deficit shortly before the hour when Millie Daviss finished well, but the assist referee’s offside flag curtailed any celebrations.

Clarets boss Lou Roberts turned to her bench for the first time with 69 on the clock, replacing Docherty and Chadwick with Danielle Maxwell and Kelly respectively.
It took just seven minutes for Kelly to have her trademark impact off the bench. Having been found by Paul, the number 25 picked out the bottom right corner from the edge of the area.
Quantrill produced a fine double save to deny Ravening and Hartley from a set piece before Roberts made her final three changes with five minutes of regular time remaining.
Walker, Daniëls and Jasmine Matthews were replaced by Heidi, Louise McDaniel and Tilly Wilkes and the remaining minutes, including four of stoppage time, passed without incident.
The Clarets have now won eight straight matches in all competitions and will have their eye on Monday night’s third round draw, which takes place at 7pm on the Adobe Women’s FA Cup social channels.
