Burnley FC Women travel to the Don Amott Arena for the second time this season on Sunday – 4th December – to take on Derby County Women, with this meeting coming in the Second Round of the FA Women’s National League Cup (2pm KO).
Jonathan Morgan’s side’s previous visit to the Ewe Rams home ground came on the opening day of the league season back in August when Dom Cooper poked home a 97th minute winner in a 3-2 victory.
Skip forward just over three months, and the Claret Women remain unbeaten in all competitions so far this term. They’re currently on a run of five straight wins, all of which coming away from home with the latest last weekend in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.

A single goal from Millie Ravening proved enough to see off Cheadle Town Stingers Women in a hard-fought contest, setting up a Third Round tie against Norwich City Women.
On the road again for a sixth - and last - consecutive game on Sunday, another victory would take Burnley into the Quarter-Finals of the League Cup in a competition which has already seen them progress through two rounds.
Following the same pattern, both of those have come via successes on the road. First seeing off Hull City Ladies in East Yorkshire, Morgan’s side progressed from the Determining Round thanks to a Millie Ravening double and a late strike from Aimee Kelly.

The Claret Women then beat Liverpool Feds Women 5-1 the First Round Proper back in October. Both Ravening and Kelly were again on target, with the latter netting a second half hat-trick having come off the bench on Merseyside, alongside a goal from Evie Priestley.
Derby, managed by Sam Griffiths, meanwhile have also reached this stage of the League Cup with two wins on the road. Edging out AFC Fylde Women 2-1 in the Determining Round, the Ewe Rams returned to Lancashire and won by the same margin against Chorley Women in the First Round Proper.
County’s most recent game came in the Northern Premier Division of the FA Women’s National League last Sunday away at Boldmere St Michaels Women, where they earned a point from a 2-2 draw.
Griffiths’ side are now 5th in the league table, two places and eight points below Burnley having played the same number of games.
