Burnley FC Women embark on the first of three successive away games this Sunday, with a visit to Loughborough.
Ahead of the league fixture, Lightning currently sit one place above the relegation zone, in tenth place, so will be looking for key points in the encounter.
The Clarets meanwhile, have their own targets, aiming to finish the season on a high and will be looking to continue the positive momentum having only lost one game in 2022.
Ninth and tenth faced off last weekend when Lightning travelled to Stoke City Women. The Potters took the three points on the day, despite goals from Loughborough’s Jessica Richardson and Chloe Young.
Burnley will be hoping to keep their goal scoring form going into the weekend though, following a 7-0 win over Hull City Ladies at the Clarets home ground of Lancashire FA County Ground last Sunday.
Following Sunday’s trip Burnley will make a Thursday night visit to Huddersfield Town Women, while next up for Loughborough will be Nottingham Forest Women on Wednesday evening, as the Northern Premier Division of the FA Women’s National League enters the last stretch of the season.
This weekend’s game takes place on Sunday 10th April at Holywell Sports Complex, LE11 3AJ. KO is 2pm.
