Burnley FC Women welcome top of the table Derby County Women to Lancashire FA’s County Ground on Sunday in the Northern Premier Division of the FA Women’s National League.
Burnley will be taking the positives from a midweek draw against AFC Fylde Women. Millie Ravening put the Clarets in front just four minutes in, before Amy Hughes drew the Coasters level in the second half. Evie Priestley slotted through on goal in the 80th minute and Faye McCoy converted a late 93rd minute penalty to salvage a point for the away side.

The strong showing will stand the Clarets in good stead for Sunday's game, in what will be a tough test against current league leaders Derby County Women.
The opposition will be arriving at the encounter on a high from a 5-0 win over Stoke City Women midweek. The rams were 2-0 up at half time, with goals from Precious Hamilton, Jade Formaston and Ellie Gilliatt on the night.
Of the 14 league games played, Derby have lost only two, with Wolves Women being the only team to take points off them.
Assistant Manager, Amanda Goodwin said: “Derby is not going to be an easy game; we know they are up there because they are a top team and they’ve got a good manager, so they’ll be very drilled and organised but again we’re just thinking about how we want to perform and how hard we’ve been working in training. That’s what we’ve been working on this week, making little tweaks so we’re prepared for the game, but it’s one we’re all really looking forward to.
“We know that Derby are coming in from a 5-0 win over Stoke so they’ll be on a high, they’ll be buzzing but obviously we will as well so I guess it will be down to a battle on the day of who performs the best, who makes the least mistakes but also who puts the ball in the back of the net.”
